It's about 20 times faster than the FTC's definition of broadband service in the US--which is only 25 Mbps. It can easily handle online gaming, Netflix video streaming, and just about anything else that you could throw at it. Also, you won't notice a difference between 30 or 100 except for when you're downloading large files. 30Mbps is almost 4MB/s, and 100Mbps is a bit over 12MB/s. The 30Mbps should be fine unless you have four or five people in the house all streaming and downloading large files all at the same time.
