The HD bolt on through BT is for anyone who isn't on the new VIP package (which includes HD & UHD), and who wants to add HD to their packs. I think the best way to look at it is this, out of the £5 charge for the bolt on, £3 is for getting any NOW TV channels you have in HD plus £2 for AMC and/or BT Sport in HD.
